cursor makes little animations for your videos
use ai to make animations for your videos
You can animate your videos with AI. I do it in Cursor: drop in a cut video, ask for animations, put them over the original in CapCut.
what is cursor
Cursor is an app on your computer where you talk to AI in a chat, and it can make files for you. People use it for coding. I use it for a lot of things that are not coding, including these little video animations.
You do not need to know how to code. You download it, open a chat, drop a file in, and ask for what you want.

my flow
- Finish editing your video first. Cut, audio, all of it. You only need the floating animations on top.
- Open Cursor. Start a new Agent chat.
- Drop your cut video into the chat.
- Ask for animations. Something like:
copyhey, i want some animations for this. can you make my video a little more interesting?
Or get more specific if you already know what you want:
copyhey, i want some animations for this.
i want [this kind] around [this moment],
[this kind] when i say [this],
and [this kind] near the end.
A little creative direction helps. You don't have to give it. Cursor can suggest spots on its own. It just works better when you tell it the vibe or the moments.
- Let it make the files. If something is off, keep talking in the same chat: bigger, smaller, later, different word, more like this.
- Open CapCut. Put your original video on the bottom. Drop each animation file on a track above it. Remove the green background. Shrink them so they sit in a corner and don't cover your face.
That's the whole thing. Cut video in, animations out, CapCut on top.
